Bolton's Tanks
The Bolton Copper Ltd works at Froghall, Staffordshire, continues in production although a significant part of the site is currently derelict. The predecessor company Thomas Bolton and Son manufactured the first transatlantic cable.
These tanks are south of the preserved railway line that bisects the site in a section that is empty. The Churnet Valley Railway plans to develop some of the redundant buildings for an engineering workshop allowing heavy overhaul of main line steam locomotives using machinery purchased when the Swindon Works project was closed.
