Situated on the banks of the Trent and Mersey Canal is the factory of Centura Foods, now part of the Premier Foods group. Bisto gravy browning and Saxa Salt is manufactured here. Following a buyout in March 2007 the site is to be closed by September 2008 and production transferred to a site in Worksop, Nottinghamshire.
