Officine del Gas, Bologna

Old gasworks dating back from 1846 and owned by the municipality since 1900: gas production occurred in a small coking plant using coal imported from Northern Europe. The 30.000 cubic metres gasometer, built by MAN, started operating in 1930 and is today one of the urban landmarks
